In Bloons TD 4, there are different tracks to play on, each with its own difficulty. Easier tracks have better spots for placing your defenses and are usually longer. You can also choose the difficulty level, which makes things cheaper to buy, reduces the number of levels, and gives you more lives.
As you progress, you can unlock 16 new weapons and defenses. Most of these can be upgraded to handle tougher enemies and take them down more easily.
